Many people believe that karate is only for young, wiry athletes. But the opposite is true: especially for people over 40, this traditional martial art offers an ideal way to bring body, mind, and soul into harmony while staying fit, stable, and balanced, in addition to learning effective forms of self-defense. Especially in our fast-paced world, which for many is characterized by high workloads and great uncertainty, karate helps build resilience and brings inner peace. A study by the University of Regensburg even shows that karate can have a supportive effect on diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. The training specifically promotes coordination, concentration, mobility, balance, and agility. And last but not least, one thing is at the top of the list: enjoying exercise in an appreciative community.
Highly qualified training with tradition
The training is led by Sensei Jamal Measara – the only 10th Dan (DKV) in Germany. With his outstanding expertise, he teaches traditional Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate, which stands not only for effective self-defense, but also for a holistic approach to health.
Okinawa, the home of this karate style, is known worldwide for the longevity of its population – a sign that exercise, mindfulness, and an active lifestyle play an important role in a healthy, fulfilling life.
